Donna R. Harrison 55 of 44 Lodge Street, New Haven CT, departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Feb 8 2014. She was born in Philadelphia PA, daughter of the late Evelyn Holmes and Benjamin Howard on January 19 1959. Donna was the eldest of six children. She was a graduate of the Construction for Women Program, where she used her skills in making her grandchildren bedroom furniture. She also graduated from the EB & C Invision School as a CNA. She worked in the healthcare field for many years. Her clients saw her as more than just a healthcare worker but as part of their family.
Donna touched everyone who crossed her path. She was a sweet, loving and caring person. If you asked her for anything, she would never turn you away. She really had a "Heart of Gold" Donna was sensitive to others and their needs, and if you hurt, she hurt. If you were happy , she was happy. That was the kind of person she was. She left a long lasting impression on everyone that knew her. Donna leaves to mourn her only child, Nakeya Harrison, three grandchildren, Quintaisja, Jaquan, and Nasia. Five siblings, Karen and Tina Harrison, Gloria Holmes, John (Tonya) Holmes, Tyrone (Saundra) Holmes, Two aunts, Gloria Smith and Marion Whaley. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery.
