Carrie C. Rascoe Rodgers 88 of Nottingham St, Waterbury, died April 13, 2010 at the St Mary's Hospital, she was the widow of the late Mills Rodgers. Carrie was born in Gatesville NC, daughter of the late Emmanuel and Julia Norfleet Rascoe. She came to Waterbury in the early 1940's and joined the Zion Baptist Church. Carrie worked as a Domestic for many years and retired from the Mattatuck Manufacturing Co., after 18 years of service. Carrie loved GOD first, then her family and friends. She was a very proud lady and enjoyed her family. She loved talking about the "Good Old Days" Carrie loved travelling as her favorite pastime, along with "Window Shopping" She was predeceased by her siblings, Benjamin Frank Rascoe, Beulah Riddick, Daisy Hurdle, Theodore Mike Rascoe, Lee Manuel Buddy Rascoe, Olia Lee Brothers, and Bertha Saunders.

Surviving are a son, Vernon B. Rodgers (Nadine), of Virginia Beach VA, Wilma Rodgers-Jones of Detroit MI, Sandra Rodgers-Sims, and Jennifer Rodgers-Montaque both of Waterbury. Nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and special nieces, Jean Phillips, Creacy Saunders, Elvira Rascoe, and Julia Lee Weaver. Interment will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury CT
