Irene C. Harper 94 of 165 Traverse St., Wtby, died Aug 15th at Wolcott View Manor, after a lenghty illness. Irene was born in Augusta, GA, daughter of the late Boudry and Sally Oliphant Robinson. Irene worked as a Seamstress and Actress all of her life. As a seamstress she was known for making "Sharp Outfits" however, she always had a love for Acting. which she participated in all her adult life. Irene played professional basketball with the "New York Wonders. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Harper, with whom she resided, a grandson, James Booth of Wtby, Great grandchildren, Donyel Harper, James Jr., Jeremy, Jonathan, and James Booth.Great great grand children, Angel and Alexander Harris. Two sisters, Margaret Oliver of New York and Julia Mabry of Chester. she is buried in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
