Eunice L. Hargett

Eunice L. Hargett 77, of Newhall St., New Haven died Feb 6th at Yale-NHH. She was the widow of Jesse Hargett, whom she married in 1947, in Portsmouth. She moved to New Haven in 1948. Eunice was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, daughter of the late Lonnie and Eva Tucker Clifton. Eunice was a School Bus Aide, with the New Haven School District. She was a faithful member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Rev. Anthony Hargett of New Haven, Jesse Hargett, Jr., of Williamstown, NJ and Randy Hargett of Phila PA. Three brothers, Samuel, Alphonso, and Melvin Clifton. Two Sisters, Gladys Blow and Berthine Lee. A God-daughter, Rosalyn Agdoboe. Eleven Grandchildren, and 8 Great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Hargett and sisters, Dorothy Hughes and Eva Smith. Six brothers, Willie, James, Albert, Hubert, Robert, and Elder Junious Clifton.
