Violet V. Esdaile

Violet V. Esdaile 73 of Pine Rock Ave, Handen died Dec 11th at the Jewish Home For The Aged. Violet was born in New Haven daughter of the late Alexander and Lillian Huggis Esdaile. She graduated from Larson Colllege, now Quinnipiac University and was employed many years at the Hill Health Center and the Visiting Nurses Assoc. Of CT. Violet was a devoted member of St Luke's Episcopal Church, The Antillean Friendly Assn and the Heritage Chorale. She is survived by two sisters, Ernestine Taylor of Hamden and Frances Hall of North Haven.. Two brothers, Melvin(Charlotte) Esdaile and A. Walter(Sharyn) Esdaile both Of New Haven.Nieces, Lydia Esdaile and A. Danielle Hall, nephews, W. David Hall, Jr., Melvin Jr., Michael, Avery, and Alexander Esdaile. A Requiem Mass will be Fri Dec 16th at 11AM, viewing 9-11AM at St Luke's Episcopal Church, 111 Whalley Ave., New Haven. Interment Hamden Plains Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to EDNA CARNEGIE SCHOLARSHIP FUND. c/o St Luke's Church.
